Successful „Power of data 2019“ conference

“Power of data 2019” conference, organized by Megatrend poslovna rješenja, Platinum IBM Business partner, and business magazine Lider, took place on March 22, 2019 at Academia in Zagreb. Conference welcomed 170 participants which were introduced to newest trends in fields of business and technological solutions. Megatrend poslovna rješenja experts have been successfully following and creating new reliable solutions for their clients for 30 years. Experts from Megatrend save time and avoid potential risks for their clients during implementation of new technologies.

Conference started with an interesting presentation about Artificial Intelligence which was held by Ante Laušić, member of Megatrend poslovna rješenja administration. He briefly reviewed newest accomplishments in machine learning, deep learning and data science. Furthermore, he talked about Watson Machine Learning Accelerator cognitive platform, also known as “Power AI”; its main technological innovations and components, as well as ways it can help speed up and improve projects in AI/data science. Renato Telen, leader of technological solutions and data center department in Megatrend poslovna rješenja, presented IBM Power9 platform and explained all technical advantages which make it the most efficient platform for SAP HANA systems. Revolutionary innovation, legendary reliability, and comprehensive ability of IBM Power9 platform resulted in IBM receiving SAP Pinnacle 2018 award for global infrastructural partner of the year. Ivan Šturlić, executive of planning support and analysis of EES and market functions from Hrvatski operator prijenosnog sustava d.o.o, presented implementation project of new generation data storage, from client perspective, which integrates standard DW base with operative data base. Megatrend business solutions leading consultant, Milivoj Obradović, walked us through data analysis possibilities brought by new version of IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM powerful tool for business analytics. Milivoj showed innovative changes in main properties of data usage, on an interactive demo example. On annual award show The Business Intelligence Group, IBM Cognos Analytics tool won the category of BIG Business Innovation in 2019. Above mentioned award is won by ideas which make us see the world differently. Among most prominent innovations of IBM Cognos Analytics is Virtual Assistant which is based on everyday natural language.

Đorđe Stojić, business solutions consultant from Megatrend poslovna rješenja, presented the method of lead self-service which enables simple creation of one’s own ad-hoc analysis and reports for users. Conference part of program finished with Darko Tukulj’s presentation, leader of Megatrend poslovna rješenja sales department. He showed a demo of Megatrend solution “Dashboard2Go”– set of predefined business reports adjusted for usage on mobile gadgets. Active reports are intended for users which want to use IBM Cognos systems anywhere, at any time.
