Megatrend Business Solutions & Girls in ICT Day

International “Girls in ICT” day was commemorated on March the 27^th in Zagreb. As a main event a round table on the topic “Digital fits me well – the importance of IT education from early age” was organized by the Croatian regulatory authority for network industries which is also the main sponsor of the event.

Megatrend as company that supports the employment of women in ICT also took part. We were represented on the panel by our president of the board of directors – Anđelka Strajher.

Girls in ICT day gathered some of the most successful female business leaders, representatives of the academic community as well as renowned experts. A panel was held on the importance of education and popularization of the IT sector through the education systems and through extracurricular activities. Throughout the discussion a special emphasis was made on the role of the ICT industry in promoting the sector among young people. Common guidelines were establish on what should be done to encourage young girls and women to choose the ICT sector for their future career.
