Our PhisHRban solution presented on AI2Future conference

The AI2Future conference, the leading event of the year for the AI industry in Croatia, was held on October 13 and 14, 2022 in Zagreb, organized by the CroAI association. The conference brought together representatives of the Croatian AI community of companies and startups developing products, services and solutions based on artificial intelligence.

Domagoj Marić, Data Science Team Tead in Megatrend poslovna rješenja, presenented our PhisHRban solution for safer Internet through AI and natural language processing.

PhisHRban is a project in which we aim to build an AI model which would fight the problem of phishing attacks, which are nowadays far from well known “Nigerian prince” scams. There are two main problems, one being the detection of phishing web sites, i.e. URL addresses which lead to fake or malicious web sites, while the other is the classification of e-mail traffic, which is also based on the former problem to some extent. Through this presentation Domagoj introduced the project, showed the main idea of our solution and what we accomplished so far, and gave a quick breakdown on how to recognise a phishing attack.

Domagoj earned his ICT degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. His field of study was Information processing, and he specialized in the field of Information security and cryptography. In the end of his studies he gained a lot of interest for the fields of Natural Language Processing and Web Scraping/Crawling, in which he further refined his knowledge.

AI2Future conference

The AI2Future conference gathered more than 350 participants at this 6th edition of the conference, which is also the annual conference of the CroAI association, which presented AI Landscape 3.0, a survey of the AI scene in Croatia. The conference also discussed the activities of European countries in the field of artificial intelligence, the application of AI in healthcare, and the possibility of machines developing a certain level of consciousness.
